Special Guest

Horus Oasis is pleased to be hosting a visit from Joseph Thiebes on the weekend of February 24 through 26 (Friday through Sunday).

Scroll down this page for more detailed descriptions of some of the classes and events.

Friday evening there will be a "Meet and Greet", and Joseph will present "O.T.O. 101." If you are curious about who the O.T.O. is and what they do - and what is in it for you - this event is for you. This event is open to the public.

Saturday's events are for members of the O.T.O. and will be held at the First Unitarian Church (1300 East 600 South).

  • 10:00 AM - Tradition of Light: Glimpse into Hermetic Qabalah
  • 11:45 AM - Making Music to Accompany Ritual
  • 12:30 PM - Lunch
  • 1:30 PM - The Fraternal Dilemma

The public is then invited to join Horus Oasis for a celebration of Gnostic Mass. We will be holding it at the usual place and time: 7:30 PM at Crone's Hollow, 2470 South Main.

Sunday will be a gathering for O.T.O. members of IV/PI or higher. If you are interested in attending, contact the Body Master of Horus Oasis.

Not all times and places are finalized yet (as of Feruary 4). As we get the details, they will be posted here, to the calendar page, and to the Horus Oasis mail lists.

Details for the events scheduled for February 24 thru 26.

Gnostic Mass

Gnostic Mass is celebrated the fourth Saturday of each month. We will gather at 7:30 PM and Mass will start at 8:00 PM. If this is your first time attending Gnostic Mass, arrive at 7:30 PM for the Deacon's Orientation.

Also note that we are now holding Gnostic Mass at Crone's Hollow, 2470 South Main in Salt Lake. Parking is on the street, or in the lot accross the street (to the South).

The Gnostic Mass is open to the public - all are welcome.

Coffee with the O.T.O.

You can meet the local members of the O.T.O. for coffee once a month at Crone's Hollow, 2470 South Main, Salt Lake City. We meet eight days before each Gnostic Mass, which is usually - but not always - the third Friday of the month at about 7:00 PM. (There is another coffee group that meets at 8:00 and they are also pretty cool - so it is worth showing up!) Check the calendar page for this month's date.

Are you member or old friend of Horus Oasis who wants to kick back and sip hot beverage with your brothers and sisters?

Are you curious about the O.T.O. and want to see who we are and what we are about?

Look for the people wearing a black "Babalon in Zion" t-shirt.

Ceremonial and Thelemic Magick Class

Held the third Tuesday of each month, this class introduces the basic practices and rituals of Thelema.

Location is Kindred Paths, 3804 South Highland Drive. We start at 7:00 PM sharp.

This class is open to all.

Provo Pagan Coffee

This not an official Horus Oasis event, but it is sponsored by Horus Oasis and organized by the deputy master. It is held the third Sunday of every month, at the Coffee Pod (next to Little Ceaser's Pizza, 1230 North and State in Provo).

Initiations

Initiations and related activities are open only to O.T.O. initiates of the proper degrees, and the initiation candidates themselves.

Initiations are held each quarter. If there is no live initiation scheduled, we will hold a 'walk through' and training for one of the degrees.

If you are interested in initiation, go to the Membership page.
